Our Approach to Cookies
Texas Homestead Law is designed to work with as little tracking as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build reader profiles, and we do not sell data about visitors.
What May Be Stored
- Essential/technical storage. The site may use minimal browser storage to make features work — for example, remembering interface state during a visit. These are necessary for the site to function.
- Caching and performance. Our pages and assets use versioned URLs and standard browser caching so the site loads quickly on return visits. This does not identify you.
- Third-party resources. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and linked external sites (including government websites) may set their own cookies under their own policies once you visit them.
Analytics
If aggregate analytics are used, they are used only to understand which educational content is most helpful — for example, which county pages are visited most — and never to identify individual readers.
Managing Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect some site features but will not prevent you from reading any educational content.
